I think this is more than a TV show that defenses LGBT community or diversity or some dissimilar ways to see life. Its more than eight stories of people from different parts of the world. I believe, that Sense 8 is a new philosophy. Is the concept of a superior race where all of us can be equals, brothers and friends. Where we can feel the pain or enjoy the happiness of one another in our hearts.
Sense 8 is a new theory of a better world. A superior one, where humans are connected to each other by feeling and it doesn’t matter where you come from, your color, your religion, your sexual election, your past or what you choose to make you happy in the present.
This original and fictitious series is about eight people. Capheus' matatu is called the "Van Damn" and sports drawings of Jean-Claude Van Damme as he is a passionate fan of his movies. Sun Bak, daughter of a powerful Seoul businessman and a burgeoning star in the underground kickboxing world. Nomi Marks, a trans woman hacktivist and blogger living in San Francisco with her girlfriend Amanita. Kala Dandekar, a university-educated pharmacist and devout Hindu in Mumbai who is engaged to marry a man she does not love. Riley "Blue" Gunnarsdóttir, an Icelandic DJ living in London who is trying to escape a tragic past. Lito Rodriguez, a closeted actor of Spanish background living in Mexico City with his boyfriend Hernando. Will Gorski, a Chicago police officer haunted by an unsolved murder from his childhood and Wolfgang Bogdanow, a Berlin locksmith and safe-cracker who has unresolved issues with his late father and participates in organized crime. They are connected by their brain by extra sensorial feelings, because they belong to a superior scale of human being: The Homo Sensorium.
I really like what Wachowski brothers wanted to say in Sense 8. This TV show can be an LBGT celebration. It can be a love anthem. It can be the banner of respect and peace. I love the script and some phrases and dialogues that they use at the proper moment and they just make you cry or feel identified or simply happy.
I enjoyed a lot of the cinematography and the locations. This TV show was filmed in a lot of different cities: Berlin, Chicago, London, Mexico City, Mumbai, Nairobi, Reykjavík, San Francisco, Seoul, Amsterdam, Argyll, Chippenham, Los Angeles, Malta, Positano, Redwoods, and São Paulo. Furthermore, it was very beautiful, exciting and expensive.
I don’t know what Sense 8 means to the world and what each person understands about it. Sense 8 is a gift. It is an idea of what I´d loved for the human kind. A place when only love matters, with no concept, no evil, no self-destruction. Sense 8 is the future, I hope so.
